Hi, i'm John.

I have a passion for making things from nothing, especially things that are electro-mechanical.

I graduated from Mechanical Engineering and my studies were heavily slanted towards digital control systems design and small computer systems.  Since that time I have built many machines, from simple material handling equipment like conveyors & Nuclear fuel rod bundle matrices, to complex CNC add/subtract machines capable of producing precise parts.

Optimum Machining currently produces prototype.  Two main pieces of equipment are the 3D machining center and the 3D laser engraving system.  Most of the current projects include building a model and executing with the associated CAM/g-code on the CNC machines.
